Set designer

Han Lixun, a graduate of the Stage Art Department of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, went on to study Spatial Arts Design at the Karl Kneidl Studio in Dusseldorf's National Fine Arts Academy in Germany in the early 1990's.

As a fine artist he has held several exhibitions of his paintings in China's National Art Gallery, as well as in Saarland, Germany, and in the German Embassy in China.

Since 1997 he has also worked as the visual art designer for a large number of openings and galas including the Grand Galas to celebrate Hong Kong's and Macao's returns, the Grand Gala "Hello Beijing" for the 2001 opening of the 21st World University Games, the 2002 Opening of the 11th Guangdong Games, the Opening of the 10th Inner Mongolia Games, and the Opening of the 4th East Asian Games. In 2003, for the 2008 Beijing Olympics he provided the spatial visual design for the ceremonies launching the logo and the Olympic marketing plans.

His career as a stage designer has been equally busy. In 1998 he designed violinist Vanessa Mei's World tour, and in 1999 he designed the opening of the 6th Minority Games. In 2004 he staged the Gala Evening for The Ode to the Motherland, and created in that same year, the set design for Chun Yi: The Legend of Kung Fu.
