Cao Xiaoning

Mr. Cao Xiaoning is a well-known producer and national A-class choreographer in China. He has won many national and provincial awards for his dance dramas and individual dance pieces. He is also Chairman of Beijing Heaven Creation Global Kungfu Theater Co, Ltd. (BHC) and Chairman of Guilin Dreamlike Lijiang Showbiz Co., Ltd.

From 1984 to1994, as director and choreographer, Mr. Cao directed many dance dramas namely The Returned Wild Goose in 1984, Zhao Jun Chu Sai in 1986, Xue Ran De Feng Cai (The Splendor of Blood) in 1987, and Hometown in 1990.

His work as a director for gala and showcase events includes the 1997, Celebration of Hong Kong Return to China, a large gala held by Shenzhen Municipal Government, with over 1500 dancers, singers, acrobats, symphony orchestra, and choruses; the 1996, The Mysterious Kingdom of the Orient, a theme variety show produced for Florida Splendid China (a Chinese theme park located in Orlando, Florida), on stage for five years there; and the 1995 The Grand Assembly of Chinese Folk Dance, a highly acclaimed open-air performance involving over 500 performers and performed in the China Folk Culture Village (a Chinese theme park) in Shenzhen for eight years. In 2005 Mr. Cao will produce A Seaside Dream, a variety performance based in Zhuhai. The preview will be in August, and the company will feature an international cast.

Mr. Cao has produced many large-scale productions in recent years including Chun Yi: The Legend of Kung Fu. In 1998, he produced Tian Huan, the first acrobatic theme show in China; in 2001, The Spirit of Shaolin, a martial arts performance; in 2002, Dreamlike Lijiang, a daily theme acrobatic show based in Guilin; and in 2003, Dreaming Suzhou, a grand acrobatic and ballet show performed daily in Suzhou.
