  Zheng Bing
  Composer


  Zheng Bing graduated from the Shenyang Conservatory. He is ranked as national A-class composer and is a member of China Musicians' Association. Mr. Zheng Bing now works as the chief composer with China Heaven Creation. He is also one of China's leading conductors.
Among his most successful works, his First Erhu Concerto attained the highest honor prize in the International New Music Composing Competition, which was held in New York in 1990. His ballet music, 'Polar Echo' and The Moon Over Fountains won the first prize in the National Ballet Competition.

Zheng Bing's Erhu Modern Work Collection CD, released in Taiwan in 1992, obtained the Golden Award (Jin Ding Award). After this, The Second Erhu Concerto won the National Composing Award in National Symphony Work. Shuang Fei, music for an acrobatic performance, won the Golden Lion Prize for composition in the Fifth National Acrobatics Competition.

Mr. Zheng has been invited to compose music for many large events such as: the celebration of Hong Kong's Return to China Gala held by CCTV; the opening gala of Dalian International Fashion Fair held every year in Dalian, China; the opening ceremony of the 21st World University Games; and the opening and closing ceremonies of the Fourth East-Asian Games in 2005.

Mr. Zheng is also a well-known composer in film and television. His works include the TV series, The United Army of Northeastern China; the Taiwan Series Our Old Days; Bao Qin Tian known as the "Just Man"; The Legend of Martial Arts World. His movie music includes Mr. Ma and a Receding Figure, A Long Winter and A Short Story, Daddy's Sea.
